First Creek Hike #2

It’s been a whirlwind since January 1st hit the calendar.  I had great hopes of getting a lot done by June 2019 rolled around.  While I’ve had some progress with my personal life goals of rewriting and exercising consistently, there’s still more to do.  Good thing, I have the rest of the year to finish these two main goals.  In one respect, 30 to 40 years seem like a long time, but not so long when you have 7 books to write (at minimum) and 14 to 15 total.  As my roommate says, your ass better get to writing, but I’m also learning you work with who you are and what you are.  My rewrite will eventually get done by the end of this year, which was my intended plan.  Then again, I’ve been trying to lose this extra weight I’ve gained in the last five years.  Better late than never.  Yeah, I’ll go with that despite me missing my first deadline.

I made the decision to take days off this month each week.  On Wednesday, it unexpectedly rained for three hours and while I was more adventurous in the past, not so much now although I love rain, thunder, and lightning.  I used to swim at my parents’ cabin when it stormed out, and not much they could do about it.  I was that type of kid.  I waited to see what the weather would be like on Thursday.  There wasn’t any rain forecast, but did sprinkle a little bit while I was out trying to keep my balance on the rocks and not get my shoes stuck under dead branches.  I need to invest in some hiking boots, but I guess I like to risk twisting my ankle in the meantime.  I much prefer going up a hill than down because you have more of a chance of slipping and looking like an idiot.  It’s a good 40 minute drive to this place, but once you’re there, it’s worth it.  I never got a chance to see the waterfall I keep hearing about, but it was nice to get outside in nature.  I really needed to get away from my normal routine.  The next time I plan on going somewhere else to hike.  Without anymore delay, here are some pictures I took of my hike.  The last one is the best (my sick sense of humor).  Enjoy.
