I recently was looking at a Rolling Stone magazine and recognized none of the singers or their songs. I haven’t been into new/recent music for a long time. The last CD I bought was from a long time ago. I think many of the artists on the radio sound the same today. Since I grew up in the 1980s and my first concert was Neil Diamond (boy, was that fun), I decided to include a popular song for each year from 1980 to 1989. There’s some good ones (cheesy in all their glory and lyrics) in here. I included videos, but we’ll see how long they stay up.
had Funkytown by Lipps Inc

had The Tide is High by Blondie
had Ebony and Ivory by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder
had Toto by Africa
had Caribbean Queen by Billy Ocean (and Loverboy too)
had We Built This City by Starship
had Kryie by Mr. Mister
had Faith by George Michael
had Foolish Beat by Debbie Gibson
had Cold Hearted by Paula Abdul
