The only books I seem to be reading are those that don’t require a lot of brain power. While this book was an easy read, it did have some crimes I’ve never heard about and presented in a way that would entice any reader to finish it to the end. I was sort of bummed when I finished reading the last page. I wanted to read about more people and the crimes they committed. Similar books such as this weaves examples from the different centuries, ranging from B.C.E. to the 2000s, and this one is no different. The book is divided into six chapters dealing with poor planning, getting caught in the act, trial and error, showing off, killer tactics, and dumb luck. Some of the stories were hilarious and others were of a more severe nature. History’s Dumbest Crimes was published in 2020 and is 192 pages. You can buy it at Barnes & Noble.
