Graceland (2013-2015)
It’s a shame this show ended after season three. There should’ve been at least one more season to tie up the loose ends regarding the team at Graceland. While the first episode took a little bit of time to get to speed, once it gained traction on the tracks, it kept going and never stopped. The very thin line between good and bad is the beating heart of the show. Daniel Sunjata as Agent Paul Briggs and Aaron Tveit as Agent Mike Warren had a contentious relationship up until the very end. Vanessa Ferlito, Manny Montana, Serinda Swan, and Brandon Jay McLaren also star as F.B.I and C.I.A. agents. The show is rated TV-14 and created by Jeff Eastin.
Suits (2011-2019)
You can look at Suits in two different parts. One is with Mike and Rachel and the other with Samantha and Alex. It’s hard to say which one is better because the characters of Samantha and Alex pulled their weight next to the likes of Harvey, Donna, and Louis after Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams left. The inner workings of a powerful law firm in New York City where people are always hungry for more is the premise of this show. Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, Wendall Pierce, Amanda Schull, Dulé Hill, Katherine Heigl, and Rachael Harris also star. Suits ended at the right time and on a high note. The show is rated TV-14 with nine seasons and created by Aaron Korsh.
Jack Ryan (2018-2023)
I don’t think I need to say anything more than John Krasinski as Jack Ryan. The show revolves around Ryan moving from behind the desk into the dangerous world of corruption, greed, and politics. He is the one who helps save the day alongside his most trusted confidants. He takes down some of the bad guy around the world. Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly, Abbie Cornish, Betty Gabriel, John Hoogenakker also star. Jack Ryan is rated TV-MA with four seasons and created by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland.
Damages (2007-2012)
I sometimes think there is overuse of going back and forth between the past and present but it’s a great way to keep the viewer interested. Besides this slight flaw, the way relationships are carried out between characters is what keeps me interested in a show like Damages. Not everything is what it seems among the characters, but one thing is for certain. Don’t mess with Patty Hewes, played by Glenn Close, until you have a smarter play than hers. This is where Ellen Parsons, played by Rose Byrne, enters the scene. These two battle it out until the very end. It is a game of calculation and deliberation with few mistakes (depending on who you ask). Tate Donovan, Zachary Booth, Ted Danson, Anastasia Griffith, Michael Nouri, Noah Bean, Tom Noonan, Zelijko Ivanek, Chris Messina, and David Costabile also star. Jack Ryan is rated TV-MA with five seasons and created by Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler, and Daniel Zelman.
White Collar (2009-2014)
If there was ever a show to watch with a nice combination of witty comedy, unusual friendships, and many different kinds of mystery, White Collar is it. The most attractive and intriguing criminal, Neal Caffrey as played by Matt Bomer, meets his law enforcement match, F.B.I. agent Peter Burke as played by Tim DeKay. Neal tries to secure his freedom while Peter captures criminals like Neal with his help. Willie Garson, Tiffani Thiessen, Sharif Atkins, Marsha Thomason, Ross McCall, Hilarie Burton, Diahann Carroll, James Rebhorn, Natalie Morales also star. White Collar is rated TV-PG with six seasons and created by Jeff Eastin.
