At least a few times a year, I gauge where I am in my New Year Resolutions. They don’t change much from year to year and my ability to attain my goals don’t seem to change much either. I was recently asked how I want to feel at the end of 2024. This relates to what I want to accomplish this year. It is definitely a way to keep yourself in check and be honest with how you are doing, whether committed or not. I answered a few of my own questions that I believed are the most pressing issues in my life. I wrote down the answers (not here but somewhere else). I’ve mentioned before how personal growth is good and means you are changing for the better. I answered mine honestly and truthfully. No one has to read your answers. and no one really should because it’s personal. Here are the questions I asked myself. Feel free to answer them yourself or not. Maybe, you don’t need to grow anymore or feel you have reached your best already. If you have, let me know how you did it in all seriousness. In truth, people that usually say they’ve reached full enlightenment haven’t really accomplished it, but what do I know? I’m only one person in this world that knows thoughts make you more tired and wear you down generally.
Question 1: What am I still emotionally tired of dealing with?
Question 2: What do I have power over in my life?
Question 3: What tensions do I have in my life now?
Question 4: What anger, judgement, or hurt do I have to let go of?
Question 5: What fears do I need to release?
Question 6: What do I desire and deserve?
Question 7: What do I need help with today?
You can ask yourself even more questions, but these are some of my go-to ones I answer when I feel out of sorts or need to touch base with my feelings. If you can’t concentrate, it’s hard to do much of anything let alone anything creatively.
