US News and World Report Lists these countries as the top 30 for the best food. The US ranks #28, Now, I get the reason for this. Most of the authentic food is found not in the U.S. We have fusion restaurants which aren’t too bad. I’m not a picky eater or demand the best but the U.S. has a lot of bad fast-food places like McDonald’s, chains like Olive Garden, and the many numerous steakhouses in every state. It’s no wonder why the U.S. doesn’t rank too high on this list. In the bigger cities like NYC and LA and metropolitan areas, the food tends to be more authentic. Let’s not forget about the sandwich shops in the U.S. and gone are the days where Subway is the king. It’s pretty terrible when compared to other sandwich shops today.

Here’s the top 20 sandwich places in the U.S. from Parade. Notice how Subway still remains on the list although at the way bottom. What is missing is CHēBA HUT but I can see why it wasn’t included. There are only 45 locations as of 2022. I’m glad I gave it a try. So the moral of this blog is try new things, even if it is a sandwich shop.
