My unnamed classmates,
I remember the youthful faces,
so full of promise and hope.
Almost forgot the planned parties,
illegal fireworks in the bedrooms,
and would be rapists in training.
The valedictorian speech of honor,
almost famous queens and kings,
and teenage bodies saying yes.
Never let rejection affect us,
I saw many brave souls,
worn and disguised behind steel.
Tried to destroy all reminders,
those pages my face appeared,
already broken with sadness.
