Jack Reacher is back with more action, saving, plotting, and not giving too much thought about where he will live next or what he will do. Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher delivers again in season three. This time there’s bigger opponents, higher stakes, and dilemmas that take on a more personal meaning. Maria Sten returns playing Frances Neagley. This time Reacher gets roped into working with Susan Duffy (played by Sonya Cassidy), a DEA agent, to put Zachary Beck (played by Anthony Michael Hall) behind bars for life for his massive drug smuggling empire. By working undercover as the bodyguard to Beck’s son Richard (played by Johnny Berchtold), Reacher finds a way to infiltrate the seemingly powerful Beck family. The biggest obstacle while undercover is not the strategies to take down Beck but having the restraint during the mission to not blow his cover. A close second obstacle for Reacher is Paulie van Hoven (played by Olivier Richters). With any undercover assignment, you need to think quick on your feet while protecting those you were sent to protect. Reacher has a soft spot for the underdog. This is what makes him a very likable guy. He follows most rules, plays fair, and teaches others the meaning of integrity. Neagley shows why she is such a badass in episode 7 and the plot thickens with each episode and then unravels enough where answers are revealed. This season is basically finding out why Reacher wants revenge again and what he will do to make the best out of a bad situation.
I rate Reacher: Season Three FOUR FINGERS AND ONE THUMB at 100%.
