The Last Rider is a sports documentary about Greg LeMond. He’s the only American to win the Tour de France in 1986, 1989, and 1990 after the disgrace of Lance Armstrong from late 1990s to mid-2000s. The best part of this documentary covers his comeback after a shooting accident and then winning the Tour de France in 1989 by eight seconds against his former teammate Laurent Fignon. In addition to the family footage, there are interviews by Greg LeMond, Kathy LeMond, Cyrille Guimard (cycling director), Pedro Delgado (Tour de France winner in 1988), and Laurent Fignon (Tour de France winner in 1983 and 1984) discussing the hardships and rewards of living and breathing as a professional athlete. This documentary is directed by Alex Holmes and is one hour and 38 minutes long.
I rate The Last Rider FOUR FINGERS and ONE THUMB at 100%.
