MAYBE SKIP IT for the flat jokes and sporadic humor.

After the Sunset (2004) is about an F.B.I. agent chasing a career thief to lock him away. It is directed by Brett Ratner and written by Paul Zbyszewski and Craig Rosenberg. The cast includes Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek, Woody Harrelson, Don Cheadle, Naomie Harris, Chris Penn, Mykelti Williamson, Troy Garity, and Russell Hornsby. It is rated R and runs one hour and 37 minutes.

MAYBE SKIP IT for the predictability of the story.

Straight Outta Compton (2015) is based on the true story about the rise and fall of NWA during the 1980s and 1990s. It is directed by F. Gary Gray and written by Jonathan Herman, Andrea Berloff, and S. Leigh Savidge. The cast includes O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Neil Brown Jr., Aldis Hodge, R. Marcus Taylor, Carra Patterson, Alexandra Shipp, Marlon Yates Jr., and LaKeith Stanfield. It is rated R and runs two hours and 27 minutes.

DEFINITELY WATCH IT for the portrayal of Easy-E by Jason Mitchell, Ice Cube by O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre.

I Love You, Beth Cooper (2009) is about a valedictorian spending a night with one of the most popular girls in school after graduation. It is directed by Chris Columbus and written by Larry Doyle. MAYBE SKIP IT because of the immature humor in this coming-of-age story.

Weapons (2025) is about the discovery of why children are vanishing in a small town. It is directed and written by Zach Cregger. DEFINITELY WATCH IT for the acting of Amy Madigan and the mystery behind the missing children.

The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015) is an adaptation from a novel about a teenager dealing with her emotions and hormones during 1970s in San Francisco. It is directed by Marielle Heller and written by Phoebe Gloeckner and Marielle Heller. The cast includes Kristen Wiig, Bel Powley, Alexander Skarsgård, Abby Wait, Miranda Bailey, Madeleine Waters, and Austin Lyon. It is rated R and runs one hour and 42 minutes.

MAYBE WATCH IT for the real indie feel of teenage angst during the 1970s.

Freakier Friday (2025) is about switching places with soon to be four different family members. It is directed by Nisha Ganatra and written by Jordan Weiss, Elyse Hollander, and Mary Rodgers. The cast includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Mark Harmon, Manny Jacinto, Christina Vidal, Chad Michael Murray. It is rated PG and runs one hour and 50 minutes.

MAYBE WATCH IT for the comparison of the different generations.

Midway (2023) is based on the true story about the Battle of Midway after Pearl Harbor was bombed. It is directed by Roland Emmerich and written by Wes Tooke.
