Most everyone knows the story of David Koresh and his followers that were Branch Davidians. The percentage of what fault belongs to the FBI, ATF, and Koresh himself will never be known but there was clearly fault with all parties involved. What does remain is the story of Waco with some liberties involved. The main people involved were David Koresh (Taylor Kitsch), Judy Schneider (Andrea Riseborough), Steve Schneider (Paul Sparks), David Thibodeau (Rory Culkin), Rachel Koresh (Melissa Benoist), Michelle Jones (Julia Garner) along with the FBI agents of Gary Noesner (Michael Shannon), Tony Prince (Glenn Fleshler), Mitch Decker (Shea Whigham), and ATF agent Jacob Vazquez (real name was Robert Rodriguez) (John Leguizamo).
This mini-series takes you inside the compound walls of Mount Carmel where Koresh and his followers viewed him as the messiah. He clearly was high on the narcissistic line and believed the practice of taking many wives was his duty. The 51 day standoff came to an end with Mount Carmel being engulfed in flames and when it quickly spread, there were few survivors. Nine Branch Davidians escaped and most of them died including 25 children from gunshots or smoke inhalation. It has a rating of TV-14 and includes six episodes.
I rate Waco FOUR FINGERS and ONE THUMB AT 100%
