The fourth and last post of The Mob Museum include the end of the La Cosa Nostra in its prime, the emergence of new organized criminal groups (sort of), the current illegal and practices, the Las Vegas area including The Strip (being technical is located in Paradise and Winchester), and anything else I forgot.
The Mob did many things to keep the money flowing through casino gambling and skimming, drug trafficking, prostitution, alcohol sales, extortion, etc.
The transition period of Las Vegas casino operators is one way to put it, but either way someone was getting pushed out and another person was coming in. As Teflon Don was arrested and then died in early 2000’s, criminal activities continued among the established and newly organized crime factions. Illegal animal trading practices, sex trafficking found all over the world, cyber attacks for political favors and control, and counterfeiting practices all gained a bigger spotlight in recent time.
It took time to build The Hoover Dam, five years to be exact, and cost 49 million dollars in 1931.
The legacy and power of Las Vegas, Nevada from past, present, and future.
