The Hollywoodland Sign was built in 1923 and originally cost $21,000.   The letters were 30 feet wide and 50 feet tall.  It was lit by 4,000 light bulbs.  The “land” was removed in 1945 and the old letters were replaced with steel letters in 1978.  The donors included Terrence Donnelly, Giovanni Mazza, Les Kelley, Gene Autry, Hugh Hefner,Andy Williams, Alice Cooper on behalf of Groucho Marx, Warner Bros. Records, and Thomas Pooleyon behalf of Michael Williams.  It is 450 feet wide and still 50 feet tall.

The top five imports into the U.S. is electronic equipment, machines and engines, vehicles, fuel, and pharmaceuticals.

The Sound of Music was the first movie to reach 100 million dollars in the U.S. and Canada during its initial release.  Titanic was the first movie to reach 500 million dollars in the U.S. and Canada during its initial release. Star Wars:  The Force Awakens was the first movie to reach 900 million dollars in the U.S. and Canada during its initial release.  Only two films, Avengers: Endgame and Avatar have reached 2.5 billion dollars worldwide.

A duffle bag got its name from a town called Duffel in Belgium.  It also goes by the name kit bag or sea bag and is made usually from canvas.
