Netflix TV Recommendation: Grace & Frankie (2015-2022)

Old age comes to an end, even TV shows dealing with major family changes, and this includes Grace & Frankie. There were many good episodes from each season. The chemistry between Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as Grace and Frankie was about as strong as they come. The comedic chemistry between Martin Sheen and Sam Waterson came as a surprise. They too were strong characters. The show revolves around their husbands declaring their love for each other, which leads to two divorces and their families turned upside down. Not only do Grace and Frankie feel betrayed after all these years of marriage. Their adult children try to come to terms with the news while asserting their own individual freedoms from their parents. Grace & Frankie is about the meaning of family, the testing of friendship, and the inevitable part of getting older. There were seven seasons from 2015 to 2022 and created by Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris. The rating is TV-MA. My all-time favorite episode is when Coyote meets his birth mother in season two. These are my favorite episodes in each season and there were 94 episodes.

Season 1: episode 5 where Grace falls and breaks her hip while getting frozen yogurt with Frankie. It aired May 8, 2015.

Season 2: episode 11 where Bud and Coyote meet Jacob, Frankie’s boyfriend, and Grace makes a fool out of herself by getting drunk. It aired May 6, 2016.

Season 3: episode 4 where Sol has a party for Robert’s theatre friends. It aired March 24, 2017.

Season 4: episode 13 where Grace and Frankie decide to live in a retirement home. It aired on January 19, 2018.

Season 5: episode 4 where Frankie fights to get a crosswalk wait time extended. It aired January 18, 2019.

Season 6: episode 3 where Sol and Robert have a family game night. It aired January 15, 2020.

Season 7: episode 15 where Frankie holds her own funeral. It aired April 29, 2022.

I rate Grace & Frankie FOUR FINGERS and ONE THUMB at 100%
