I had posted a post I wanted to share in latter 2025 but for some reason it disappeared when I actually posted it in 2026, which was today. Therefore, I’m not going to rewrite the entry again because my time is too precious. Don’t you love computers where functions don’t work or you can’t find something that was once there. Here goes the comedy shows I watched in 2025 and 2026 that helped me through the thing called life. They were all hilarious because of the great acting, good storylines, and characters not getting along with each other.
Raising Hope (2010-2014) is about a family of working-class individuals in California including Burt and Virgina Chance (Garret Dillahunt and Martha Pimpton) and their son Jimmy (Lucas Neff) and his daughter Hope (Baylie and Rylie Cregut). Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman) rounds out the major cast and includes a great supporting cast.
The Upshaws (2016-2026) is about a blended working-class family in Indiana with all their struggles with family boundaries, money issues, and loyalty testing. Bernard and Regina Upshaw (Mike Epps and Kim Fields) live with their children Aaliyah Upshaw (Khali Spraggins) and Maya Upshaw (Journey Christine). Lucretia Turner (Wanda Sykes), Bernard Upshaw (Jermelle Simon, Tony (Michel Estime), Kelvin Upshaw, (Diamond Lyons), Davis (Leonard Earl Howze), and Frank (Lamont Thompson) include the other major and supporting cast.
One Day at a Time (2017-2021) is about an immigrant family in California including Penélope Alvarez (Justina Machado) living with her two children, Elena Inclán (Isabella Gomez), Alejandro Vidalthe (Marcel Ruiz) and mother, Lydia Vidal de Riera (Rita Moreno). Doctor Leslie Berkowitz (Stephen Tobolowsky) and Pat Schneider (Todd Grinnell) serve as the supporting cast.
